Bob G. - If the pro's wanted to continue to work, they would lobby for E9th. If all they wanted to do is play at steel guitar shows, they'd opt for C6th.

Gee Terry, I appreciate that nice comment.
BUT, if you want to say nice things to and about me, you'll have to stand at the back of a LOOONG and patiently adoring queue.
I'm pretty sure that's why they're lined up?!

Don't be fooled by all those posts that appear to be flames; around here, explEtives deleted - {no more of that, Marty. -b0b-}- ok b0b- sorry etc. are really terms of endearment.

That's just how we express affection; I think.

You have a point. When I saw Chalker c. 1965, he had C6 and I think E13 with a couple of pedals. Shortly after that, he went to Nashvul and came up with a full blown E9....to survive, I assume.

I hope the public's taste goes back some day to western swing.

...and I like E9, too.

Don't sacrifice the 9th string/D -
Easier to spot string groupings -
Just makes more sense --
