WOW!! Charlie, you were so impressive with that great clean tone from your steel. It was a great pleasure for all of us here in Gulfport to have you and your wonderful family with us this day. Watching Pee Wee Whitewing listen to your playing was a special treat for me. One great player appreciating another is what this is all about and I just can not thank everyone enough for their support in our efforts here on the MIssissippi Gulf Coast.
Friday night in our home was a big event for me. Having you, Charlie & Sam Moore and wives and Roy Ayers and wife, all in my music room listening to the greatest Joe Wright play my new EXCEL was a very big historical event for all of us. Joe played this new steel like he has played it all his life. There are no words to fully describe Joe Wright's abilities and talents. None of us wanted Friday night to end, but we had to think of early Sat.morning, so we knocked off around ten PM. But what a night it was!
