well I now have two pedal steels, a 1973 Sho Bud Red Pro II and my newest addition a Sho Bud Fingertip D12...add this to my other guitars...a Epiphone Silverburst Les Paul Custom, a Epiphone Blonde DOT, a Copley Acoustic given to me from Mel McDaniel, and a Copley Acoustic Bass. My amp of choice today is a Nashville 112 but id still like to find a Fender Silverface twin reverb...

3 MSA U-12s and a recently acquired Fessenden that is currently in pieces, which eventually be a dedicated C6.

Plus a 7 string Mars cat can (I believe it is the only one he have made) a 3 neck stringmaster, and 2 halves of a double neck stringmaster that has been converted to 2 separate instruments, one of which has a Hipshot trilogy bridge, and the other of which now has 14 strings, the same tuning as my 7 string cat-can, with octave strings like a 12 string guitar. The tuning pegs came from a Sierra.

I forgot to mention, my stringmaster has cam levers on 2 of the necks to allow two tunings per neck. I play Mississippi Delta Blues on the non pedal steel, and use open chord tunings and can only play in the key the steel is tuned to, so with the cam levers i can play in A, C, D, E,and G. I also have on/off switched for each neck, so I can have any combination of them turned on.

I have just 3 pedal steels and thats the most that I have ever owned at one time. It usually was just 2 but I wanted to try out a Mullen G2.

1967 Emmons D 10 P.P. Guitar was formerly owned and rebuilt by Charlie McVay ( Evans City, PA )

1969 Emmons D 10 P.P. Guitar was completely rebuilt into a new body by Charlie Ward ( former Emmons tech. )

2008 Mullen SD 12 G2. (ext E 9) 4 pedals and 5 knees.

There is a thread where the Mullen G2 has been receiving some negative feedback. My guitar was the first SD 12 G 2 built and its a great guitar. Very little cabinet drop and the returns are true. Its the guitar that I use out most due to great tone, light weight and ease of playing.

How do you remember which guitar you last changed the strings on ?

Just the one. '71 Emmons D-10 P/P. I've had it since 2000 and I've thought about going to something different, but, every time I play this one, I come to my senses.

Prior to this one, in order the order that I got them

Emmons P/P student model
Later model Sho-Bud LDG (narrow pedals)
MSA S-10 since it had 5 pedals and I couldn't afford a D-10 at the time, I converted it to C6
Sho-Bud S-12 traded for
'73 Sho-Bud Pro II
'84 Sho-Bud Super Pro

Great guitars but, apparently, the '71 is the one for me. There's just something about the old Fat Backs. One day if funds permit, I wouldn't mind trying a Zum or maybe an EMCI so I don't have to drag the Emmons around so much. Hmmmmmmm maybe I ought to sell the motorsikkle! LOL

Right now I only have two:
Carter U-12 9x6 (Black)
Fender Pro Dual (that nice Fender yellow)

These are gone:

ShoBud Maverick (Wood Mica)

All have been played through the same Fender Vibrolux but that's subject to change...
