This is my late model Pro-I that I got off the forum here from a great forum member, Neil Lang.
I'm still saving up money to get it "Cooped"(and add a couple of knee levers), so it will look as beautiful underneath as it does on top, and work better then ever.

Here's a couple of single channel amps in maple.

Mike, those amps look beautiful. I'd be afraid to take them out of the house for fear of getting scratches. I'll bet they sound real sweet too.

I double-dare ya to put rope or diamond inlay on 'em.

Here's my latest addition Pro III best tone I've had so far and the sustain well let's put it this way I didn't think a guitar could sustain that long without a pedal.

Rick, you and I talked a lot about your early guitar. How's it workin' out?

John,
I have it working well enough. I made the one KL an e-raise instead of the e-lower. I use that a whole bunch more. I think that I'm gonna make it some version of a universal type tuning that'll take both feet to use. I don't know?!? I have the low g+ as a 10th str. and a B for a 9th str. I put a pedal change on 2 and 9 to get a D out of both for a low and high 7th chord. It does sound very nice!

My primary Bud is the wine colored beauty on my avatar. It's a 6139 with 4 + 3. The next photo is my '68 Barrels and baskets that's currently undergoing refurbishing.

howdy, mr, R,C, ANTOLINA, I have early pro1, the same as yours, with the tone and vol, and switch on the apron, blonde also, ive never found out the year it was made, the no,on it is , 3400, does that precede yours or after, just trying to roughly date my bud, thanks, lew.

As close as I can determine, it's a '68.

LJF, even if the numbers are lower, or higher for that matter, may not really tell the story. See if there are date codes on the pots. Post a pic of the underside. I take it yours does not have a "Distributed By Baldwin" decal on it?

LJF, mine is a 1967. It has a much more primitive type of baskets and barrels. It has the Baldwin decal. It's serial number? 7444!

howdy, john, the markings on the pots say,A-B in a circle, then, 938698, under that,A-500k-ohm,under that, type, J, theres no baldwin markings on it, around the decal on the front apron,[ sho-bud] nashville, ten, there are smaller than the ordinary card symbols two left of the decal and two right, there quite small compared to the others ive seen, the baskets and barrels look the same as any others ive seen, sorry cant show you a pic, bit illiterate on that one, thanks for your time and reply, lew.

The pot is an Allen Bradley. But the first 3 numbers don't follow the manufacture's code according to the site I use. But,,,
"If the code is only six digits long, then the fourth digit is the year code
(between 1947 and 1959). If the code is seven digits long, then the fourth and
fifth digits indicate the year. The final two digits in either of the codes indicate
the week of the year the potentiometer was built. Any final two digits with a
code number over 52 possibly indicate a part number instead of a week of the
year code."
So the pot was made in 1966, but the guitar was not! Shot probably bought a lot of pots and used them over the course of a few years until he ran out.
