The Amazing Electromuse Hawaiian Guitar with the patented Eye-Beam String Pickup at The Uptown Tap, Columbus, GA (with Brian Mallard and Renegade covering "Wanted Man" by Johnny Cash)
Sittin' in with FSC at the Snakebite Rendezvous, Plains, GA: The case on the keyboard stand is the Electromuse. The on the lefty Fender P-J bass is my boy, Jordan.

More of the FSC set in Plains. This band is about 80% originals so I had to learn a bunch of stuff the week before the gig. This one was a no-brainer and I could just tap dance through it with audibles from Jordan.

A recent photo of our group working a one-nighter with Jack Greene at the Ole Red Barn, Pittsfield Illinois. Probably the high point of my music career.

Here's one my old buddy (Drummer Monte Paul) sent me from southern California. Monte's the guy standing up in the back and the handsome devil of a steel player on the GFI is ol' Blackie Taylor a legend in SoCal. Blackie's one dude who never ages, he looked just like this forty years ago......JH in Va.

Damn that Jack Greene dresses right, except for maybe his sneakers..
Ken T .. is that a mullet ?
Jack, those Pennsy boys look cool.
Jerry , does Blackie own stock in "Just for Men" or is there a portrait of Dorian Grey?
and look at Dan jamming with Robert and Derek .. must have some serious mojo going on.
I love these old band pics.. as soon as I can I will scan and post one of my first band @ 13.

Here's a really old one. The first band I was in, "Al Lee and the Tunedusters", 1959, Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Ms. I think the picture was taken at the NCO club on base. We were all permanent party (tech school instructors) and we had a regular weekend gig at "The Swamp Room" in Biloxi (later it was renamed The Peppermint Lounge). We had four pieces and got $5.oo each per night (plus drinks that the waitress would get people to buy the band a round). We also did the Saturday afternoon TV Show at WDAM in Hattiesburg several times - the "Jimmy Swan Show".
Al Lee is the short guy, the drummer was Ernie Cano (from San Antonio), the lead picker was Bobby (forgot his last name) from Milwaukee and he had been in the Frankie Yankovic Polka Band. I'm on the left with the Gretsch. The others in the picture were not regular band members.

Bo: hahahaha, I had to laugh and then I had to look to see what you were talking about. No, just an illusion of the photos. I'm way to old for that and I don't have enough hair back there to do that. But thanks for asking.

I enjoy seeeing all your photos. They are truly awesome! Not to be nit pickey (okay, you know when someone says that they're gonna nitpick and here it comes...) but most of these are not "band photos". They are mostly you on stage with a band. A "band photo" is a photo of the band used for promotion.
Here is a website that critques rock band photos in a humorous fashion. some may find the language and content a bit offensive, but maybe some of you will understand and get the humor here:

Here's a pic from Anchorage, Alaska in '75 of my band Genuine Country backing Little Jimmy Dickens on a two-night show at the Fort Richardson NCO Club--what a thrill for a young, wet-behind-the-picks Arkansas boy to play for this fine gentleman! I distinctly remember him coming over and twisting my ear a little asking me to turn-r-up during rehearsal!!
This was my first assignment with the U.S. Air Force and three of the members were also Air Force: Bob Barrs, Lead Singer...Dave Green, Lead Guitar/Vocals, Gene Jennings(Army Warrant--Helo Pilot)Drums, Jennie, Bass and me on my MSA S-10 w/Peavey Classic amp...Had I only known who had already played steel for him (Mr. Emmons & Mr. Day at the top) I probably wouldn't have been able to hit a string!
