It was a cleaning/oiling day, so we went out into the snow. I had to take a glamour shot:

I've always liked this sticker, too:

Micky, your Bud looks so lovely there, and your face says it all! If anyone wants to know the secret of what makes this life a treasure, just think of what you've done to bring a smile to someone's face.
Thank you Micky for giving me such an an awesome task to make me feel an incredible warm glow inside from being of help to someone in need.
In the end, it's what one GIVES in life, isn't it.
Love you Micky, Dave.

Dave, nice seeing you on here quite regularly now, keep doing do :) I will always ring your praises...you were a total stranger to me when we met via this great forum, and you did indeed take on a HUGE task in rebuilding my Sho-Bud from the burnt mass it was after the house fire. You also kept to your word of accepting nothing for the mammoth task of it's ressurection.Your very words were that your only recompence was to hear that 'Bud played again, and you did on the day I collected it from you. It "WILL" be gigged again, after my Hernia op later this month and after I've totally recovered. We are now in Gloucester instead of Cheltenham as of last month, and that's why I had to postpone the date for the operation because of the house move. You are a master Craftsman and one in a million for what you did for someone who was in need. That Sho-Bud "IS" me...you can tell it from my expression. After owning it since I bought her in 1977, it has always felt just right sitting behind her. I think all on this forum would like to see pictures of your second "Langdon" keyless 12 string universal. Your first one I tried was a beauty. :)

I just had this one redone by Dana Flood and I'm quite tickled with it. I have another guitar (Fessy)

Here's my second steel I owned. It's about a '75-76 D10 Marlen. I sure wish I could have afforded to hang on to these babies.

Yeah, John, That's Ricky's fireplace alright, as Ricky and I met through this forum, and he refurbished the green guitar for me, then the D 10 Marlen. All of my "keepers" have sat in front of Ricky's fireplace at one time or another. ;-)

Here is my 2001 Carter S12U. It has many miles and gigs on it, but still going strong. The setup is pretty much the standard Jeff Newman Universal.

Here is another Carter I owned at one time:
