You guys are putting some challenges on me. Long Black Limo has been on the list from the start. Charlies Shoes or another Billy Walker song as well since I did work with him some in the 70's. Dean, I am not familiar with the Simon and Garfuncal tune, I have lived a very sheltered life. I will try to find it and give it a listen. I have only written two instrumentals in my life. One is Joanie's Song which is on my Ballads, Shuffles and Swing CD and a swing tune that I wrote when I was playing with the Time Jumpers that we recorded on an album that was never released. Maybe something will come to mind.

Hi Johnny, hope you have a great time recording this new CD. Sounds like you will have a hard time picking just the right combination of songs. Wow that sounds like a song title right there. Dolly and Porter would love that on the steel.

Seriously, I would love to hear you play Pete Drake's old song, Pleading, or Maiden's Prayer, or Wynn Stewart's Playboy, ala Ralph Mooney style.

I won't be in Dallas this year, but I would like a copy of it when you finish. Let me know.

It was good to see you at Midwest Country along with Justin. Give my best to Joan.

Hi Johnny,

Number one request from me, I think one of the great Gospel standards would be great from your hands.

A second choice would be hear you on one of those Buddy Charleton tunes you used to really rip.

Of course anything you play will sound great.

Thanks and GOD bless ya!

Hi Johnny, just an idea but how about a Connie Smith medley, of songs like Nobody but a Fool, I'll come running, and a few others, and you just do what you do best!!!!

For your next CD that you were talking about, I sure would love to hear you do a Hal Rugg medley of a bunch of Loretta Lynn tunes, like Ones on the way.

Take care, and see ya in Dallas.

I vote for Connie Smith's "You And Your Sweet Love". It's got a chorus that can really be 'tweaked' to the max.

Hello Johnny,
I personally think that one of the prettiest songs ever written is "Don't You Ever Get Tired Of Hurting Me". that would sound great on steel.

My two favorites from Billy Walker, Jimmie Martinez the Mexican Soldier, and Across The Brazos in Waco. Some of my greatest joys are hearing duets by you and and that pretty bride of yous. Wonderful music.

Jeannie Sealy has a song and I think the tile must be I'M JUST ONE STEP AWAY FROM LEAVING. Would be a great tune for the steel.
