Don't forget Doug's great double album with Vasser Clemens, Dvid Bromberg and many other greats, "Hillbilly Jazz".
This gets you up on your feet, alright.

If you haven't gotten Doug's latest album..."Speed Pickin' and Country Ballads"...www.digndoug.com...you should order it. That will answer any questions about if Doug is still playing or not! Doug is way at the top of my "hero" list.

I always play 'Jazz by Jernigan' to friends who are unfamiliar to Steel Guitar, to me it is one of the best Steel Cds. I too wish Doug would come to the NYC Jazz scene and mix it up alittle.

Steve, regarding my new Zum PSG I have the anti-cabinet drop. It takes some of the "E" drop out of the fourth string. Although I have the same pickups in all three of my Zums, it sounds a little brighter than the other two Zums. The pickups are PF-1's.

Mr. Doug is an astounding player and a very patient and effective teacher. He is one of the nicest people I know. I just got back in March from his three day one-on-one school and I have been woodshedding since. His knowledge of the steel is incredible! I learned and continue each day to learn in great strides from his instruction. Mr. Doug, don't forget to give me and Mr. Clyde a buzz when your down around South Alabama and we will hit the lake in search of some big Bass and Brim.
