Rabbit, Glad to see you on here. I remember you most when you were with the Happy Goodman's. We used to hang with Ronnie Moore when he was with the Hinson's. Haven't seen Ronnie in years, but heard him singing on the radio the other day. I am going to try and find a way to get a hold of Ronnie. Jerry and our 10 yr. old grandson Austin are making a CD and I would like to send Ronnie one. Welcome to the Forum. Donna

What little steel playing I can do, I do in a Gospel group these days. I also enjoy playing some older country around home, or maybe at a jam session, etc... but the group I play for is strictly country/southern Gospel.

Hey Rabbit...Beaver...it's great to see you guys posting here.

Rabbit, Beaver... Hmmm, do I notice a trend in Gospel steel players names here? Image

Hey Rabbit,
No, I'm no longer there. Image I'm working for myself these days. Better hours and I actually have Saturdays and Sundays off for a change!!! Image

Be sure and post here on the forum the next time you're gonna be playing in this area, as I know there are several who'll want to come out and see/hear you.

Hey Barry, I know what you mean about the Sound Tracks being used in Concerts, but I've had a Gospel Group for about 30 years and I had a live band for most of them, but had to go to Sound Tks because (1) couldn't get players who would or could travel (for a number of reasons) and (2) the money. I have never set a price and sometimes we were paid and sometimes not much. And Farris, I know what you mean about the Prison Gates, I have played there to. Like Hank Snow said; I"ve been everywhere they would let me sing. Yes, I sing, play Lead guitar, bass, piano, and am learning the Steel (my favorite of all), play Lead Guitar in our Church. GOD IS GOOD!!
