I think 2 posters recognized that the artist chose to do this. Isn't it plausible that AJ wants the jam on his album so HE can listen to it and enjoy it? The great playing becomes part of HIS catalog. Admittedly, the average fan does not like music jams, it appeals mostly to other musicians. Holly Dunn did the same thing on her Rio Grande album (80s) and it's a definite highlight with Sonny Garrish taking a turn.
