Mr. Franklin,

Thanks for all you've done for the steel guitar community and for building the Cadillac of the steel guitars. Also, the Pedalbro is still discussed reverentially here on the Forum. I know that local legend Bobby Black (who is similar in age to you), was very proud of his Franklin. Happy birthday and many more.

I was fortunate enough to spend a day with Mr. and Mrs. Franklin , we spent time talking about steel guitars , and I learned the whole history of Franklin guitars , and a lot about Sho Bud , I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life … Mr. Franklin thank you for your time , and I wish you a happy birthday 🎂

Happy birthday Paul ! Going out for Chinese Food with your gang was one of the best parts of the convention in St Louis.

Also talking with you about how things work together to create tone was a revelation.

It was an honor and a joy to visit with you when I passed through Nashville while I was on the road.

Thanks for everything!

Happy Birthday Mr Franklin. I enjoyed our good visit and talk in St Louis when I was playing lead for Herby Wallace. I think of you when I’m enjoying an Ice Cream Sandwich. ( you still owe me one ). 😀. Happy Birthday my friend.

Paul, please send him my Happy Birthday wishes! Your Dad is certainly steel guitar royalty!! I first met him when I went up to the ShoBud shop so many years ago, I was nervous just walking into the place. He was so nice to me..

Happy Birthday Mr Franklin! Wishing you many more! Your Franklin guitars have a higher resale value than almost any other brand and that's because you can't improve on perfection!

Happy Birthday Mr.Franklin. Forever grateful for the compensators you installed on my Sho-Bud Pro III. You were working on Terry Bethel's guitar and stopped to put them on my guitar. Thanks again.
Happy Birthday and many great memories.

Mr Franklin, if there’s a day that I could ever re- live, it would be
a day that I came to your house, to pick up a few things, and I got
to spend a good deal of time, with you and Mrs Franklin. I learned
so much that day, a lot of stories about many things in the past, many
stories about Paul Jr’s career, and much talk about the construction
of the Franklin guitar and Pedabro. Thank you so much, for that great
memory. A very Happy Birthday to you, and I hope you have a very
blessed, and very special day, plus many more to come. Much love to you,
and all the family!

Mr Franklin, I hope you have a wonderful birthday!!! I sure miss our visits with you and your Wife. I have yet to meet such honest friendly people like you and your family. Getting one of your guitars was the best decision I’ve ever made and as I told you before, you are the “Master Builder “. Take care my good friend!!!

Back in 1991 while visiting and playing in Nashville with Patricia Conroy, we had an off day and I asked my bud Donny Lavallee to take me to prominent steel guys. We hit Jimmy Crawford’s, Bobbe Seymour’s, then ended off the evening at the Franklin’s house. Had a great entertaining and insightful talik with those folks and were also treated to some recent tracks from Paul playing with Mark Knopfler. It was a heck of a night and well remembered. Happy Birthday, Paul.
