Re: New Kemper User
I have the powered Kab and it is well worth it for live use. Has never let me down. If I had a powered head, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the unpowered Kab.Chris Grigsby wrote: Are people using the Kemper-branded Kabinet, or just a generic cab with the speaker of their choice? What about onboard effects?
I like all the Kemper effects. If you're into heavy ambient sounds and crazy modulated reverbs, etc, that's not the strong point. But standard 'verb, delays, pedals, etc are excellent.
Good luck....and reach out with any questions. It can be a steep learning curve, to start.
I use my Kemper Profiler for pedal steel, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and dobro (with the Fishman JD Aura). Sometimes with and sometimes without any cab on stage (when on IEM).
If anyone is interested in my profiles, I will be glad to share. Send me your email in this thread.

Hey Tim, yes, please email me at proaudio529@mac.com - do you have the actual LW '89 amp and, if so, how convincing is the Kemper?
Thanks again,
Chris

Hey Tim.....sorry to pile on, but if you're still up for it, I'd love to try your performances.

Hi Tim,
I'd also love to try your performances, as I've tried several and while they all work, they just don't quite "do it" for me.

Thank in advance!

FYI, I have a Kemper Profiler Head and matching Powered Kemper Kabinet for sale in the classifieds for a great deal if you know anyone looking. I ended up getting the Powered Head and Passive Kabinet because it's one less power cable. I'm honestly floored at how great this thing sounds!
Thanks for the profiles! Has anyone tried the Eminence IRs for the Paul Franklin and Travis Toy speakers?
Best,
Chris

I’m looking for a power head unit only. I already have a quilter cabinet with the PF350 speaker I’m going to use with itChris Grigsby wrote:FYI, I have a Kemper Profiler Head and matching Powered Kemper Kabinet for sale in the classifieds for a great deal if you know anyone looking.
