In feel the same way. After playing with them for about 15 years or so, I feel that I can't live without them. I have 3 of them. One on the 4th string, one on the 5,and one on the 8th.Dave Mudgett wrote:

But Patrick is a newbie, and this is not something he need concern himself with. In fact, I'd say that at this stage of learning, they only add to the confusion.
Patrick, my advise is get an Encore, and work with it till you feel you've outgrown it, (which may never happen.) Then you can worry about tuneable splits on your next guitar.
