Cheap fix, a small travel size can of hair spray (Dollar General, etc.). Apply a small mist to you finger tips and thumb before it dries and your good to go.

Violin rosin. A drop of rubbing alcohol, wait then dab. Might want to clean licks from time to time.

I had Andy Hall in on a session playing dobro recently and he did the same thing with the tape...

You can grab a beer during the break only if you haven’t taped the bar to your left hand.

Seriously , I prefer shrink-wrap or vinyl-dip on the fingerpick bands. Both provide more friction to afford better pick adherence than spit alone.

Eyeglass nosepiece foam pads. Get 'em at any Walgreens. Snug and comfy and when they start to wear just pull 'em off and put on a new pair.

Here's something I stumbled across from another hobby. They're suede. I usually get them from Amazon.

Great idea

Man, I think the tape is a great idea! I have big, fat , fleshy, finger tips and no matter how many hours I spend with my various shapes of pliers shaping and bending the picks, as soon as I bend my knuckle the picks slide forward. I’ve tried spit, and plasti-dip, pro-pik split wraps, various types of “stickum”, and none of it works for any significant length of time. For me the biggest obstacle is that I can’t bend the picks to the shape of my finger tip because they’re just not shaped right or big enough. Maybe the tape will work, maybe it won’t, but it’s worth a try. Great things come from thinking outside the box, and it never occurred to me to simply tape ‘em on. Thanks for the idea!
