I wouldn't want to try and count how many songs were mentioned multiple times. So here's mine. Come Monday. Jimmy Buffet. Here's one. A b side. Hey, the b side writer made just as much money as the a side guy. The Box Tops. I met her in church. Rp

chiming back in here...

that was Doyle Grisham on Come Monday

and Stu Basore on Ween's Falling Out, also Pandy Fackler and Stay Forever from the same album White Pepper (2000). Stu toured with Ween in support of the '12 Golden Country Greats' album in '96 but it was Russ Hicks on the record. Russ joined Ween at the Ryman last year when they performed the album for 2 nights

Look, it doesn't qualify as a "hit" per se, but its from one of the most popular bands of the 70's-80's-90's, and Sneaky Pete's playing is otherworldly, as is his totally unique sound.. he is all over this one, just playing his heart out.. his rhythmic comping on this is fabulous.
Also its a VERY appropriate song for many of us in northern states this time of year!!.. enjoy. bob

I'm pretty sure that this is also Doug.
He played on a live album by French singer Michel Polnareff. So why not in the studio?

as mentioned, it was Red Rhodes on the intro and Buddy was called in later to add the fills. which makes it quite an anomaly!

I think the Eagles original version of Tequila Sunrise was guitar, not steel. Probably Bernie.

Woodstock - Matthews Southern Comfort

Post by Jim Fogle »

Olaf van Roggen mentioned Woodstock by Matthews Southern Comfort in 1971. While not that big a hit in the US it was huge in Europe. https://youtu.be/9_E8qW01IYE

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodstock_(song)

It is also one of my favorite songs.
