‘Kitty’ - You stroke her gently on the back and she purrs. No warning, it’s all wailing and whining.

Actually, I thought a very "fitting" name for the new MSA would have been the Phoenix (that legendary bird of Greek myth that was consumed in fire, and then rose again out of it's own ashes).

But, if I was to make a steel, I'd have something commercial and "catchy" about the name, like...

"The Ronco "Steel-O-Matic"

Or maybe...

"The George Foreman Chromatic"

Or...

"The AB Pedal Slide Machine"

Too bad Buddy and Leo never got together...they could have made an "Emmocaster"

Hi, all--
Years ago my good friend Don Moore and I thought about designing a steel guitar and calling it the "Cost-Moore". Probably wouldn't have sold too many of them with that name...

For jazz heads and new agers
" The Micro-tonal Glissando "

A New York City steel would be
the " Steel Schlemiel Shlepmaster "

And of course,
IF I built a steel with Buddy E
The " Do-Bud "

and if it wouldn't stay in tune I would call it my personal

Not claiming the slightest originality, but I called the PSGs (and a dobro) that I built around 1975 "RoseBud," hoping that Buddy wouldn't mind the adulation....

If I was a steel guitar builder, I'd name the company "Emmons." Image

Well, if I lived near the ocean,I'd call mine a "SHORE-BUD",but since I live in beautiful downtown Louisiana,I call it a "Cajun Keyboard". Of course if I lived in Slidell, you could guess what I would call it. If I lived in Illinois maybe,"Ill n Noise". Oh,we could go on and on and 0n.
