Leon, I think that G7 last chord is actually Db7...

John - I play a walk up from the G7 to C, but you could sure use the flat 5 sub instead.

So, Leon. Would the Dominant (mixolydian) scale be the one to put over each major 7 chord? Or would you stick to a major (Ionian) scale? I've played that tune using pentatonics over that part, like BB King.

Tony - The usual approach would be to use the C, Eb, and Ab major scales over the respective major seventh chords. The major pentatonic scales work, and since they don't have a seventh, they work over all major chord types, major, dom. and maj. 7, but in this situation, you arguably want that major seventh scale degree in the scale and may even give it melodic emphasis.
