As always, this is gonna be a great show! Brett and Laney, together? WOW!!! Gonna be a lot of Saluda moments, I can just feel it. Looks like we're gonna have a lot of players, so we'll start early, and play until...
Roger, you want fries with that?

Hope Russ and Laney make this one. Drove from Pa. to Ky. last weekend because i thought they were going to be there along with Bobbye Seymore but none of them showed. The show was fine anyway, with Lynn Owsley, taking Bobbye's place and some nice surprising things from non-pedal players, but was disapponted that those three didn't make it. First steel show for my brother but i don't think it will be his last. Sorry can't make it to Saluda this time , maybe next. TJH

Hey Thurlon....sorry you were disappointed but you almost make us sound like a no-show,,,the reason we weren't in Lexington is we weren't invited....I figure they like to mix it up and not use the same guys all the time and put some players on that haven't been there for a while, and there's nothing wrong with that for sure....maybe next year

I hate that I cannot attend next weekend.
It seems lately that the Saluda show has been the same weekends as Trade Shows that I assist my wife with in far off places, such as DC, Richmond etc...
Saluda, always the best shows...
hopefully next time...
Uhhmm..Laney singing with Brett..
maybe next time I can play with Brett (if he lets me ) and then then I can tell my family I played with Brett, who played with Laney
..

Just a Bump and a Hearty good luck to all this sunday. This should be one of the best and hope the Georgia gangs mule has enough hay to make it in time.

Hey Joe,
Ole Bessie has been on a very strick training program, so gettin' the Georgia Gang there will be noooooo problem. We just have to be sure to leave enough room on the wagon for Wayne's Port-A-Potty!

Sorry i got things mixed up Russ, but i really thought i had seen something about the Lexington show some weeks ago and i got yhe impression that you and Laney would be there. If they didn't invite you, they sure missed a great opportunity to enhance the show. And i have a feeling that being a no-show just doesn't fit you and Laney at all. Love your CD's. Wish i could see you in Saluda, but won't be able to make it this time. Looking forward to next time. May God bless. TJH

I got an email from Herby and he said he's not coming this time. He notified Charles in an email that he has a previous committment at the Norwalk, CT show. I was sorry to hear that, but this show is a week earlier than usual.

Hey Thurlon, you're right, when Bobbe made his original 'I'll be there' post, I made a joke about him bringing his secretary in case Laney didn't show up. At that time I didn't know that we wouldn't be there...guess I should have made that clear after I saw the schedule.
Anyway, I'm sorry we missed you there and also that we'll miss you this week-end in Saluda. We'll get together one of these days.

I have a steel gig on Friday night. Saturday I'll head that way with my fiddle for the jam. I really enjoyed myself last time. This time maybe I won't be such a stranger to you guys. I could see the wheels turning in your brains..... oh $%$# here's fiddler and he'll want to stand there and saw all the time on top of the singers and others breaks. I didn't do that last time because I didn't have my Profex mod working. This time I've got it all working and I'll saw and play all the way through the song constantly and real loud too. Got a new amp too that is lots louder that my Nashville 400. It distorts pretty bad but the distortion kind of gets lost in the extreme volume. It's a Marshall amp I got from a heavy medal punk rocker. It's got a few green and orange stains on it where he was careless when he painted his hair. I may need to get three of you big strong guys to help me unload it from the trailer. Don't know how long I'll stay on Sunday because I have to get back to Knoxville and be at the airport at 4:45AM to fly to Jamaica. See you Saturday.

Just kidding! I promise to behave myself and only play when I'm suppose to. Doing the things I mentioned above are what make for a bad fiddle experience. Looking forward to Saluda!

Laney and I are leaving for S.C. in the morning and we won't be traveling alone.....we're bringing a 'mystery guest' with us, just in case the Georgia boys don't show and I need someone to 'lock horns' with.
See ya'll soon,
