Raul Malo and two more Mavericks did a tribute to Slim at a concert here in nj in June and was absolutely beautiful...I too thought Slim passed decades ago.

Roy & I lived in Middleburg while he was there. The would have a street gathering for something or another and he would come down and sing. You couldn't find a parking place.

I too remember "Indian Love Call".

Condolences to his family.
