I'll add one more, out of hundreds of favorites:

"Please Help Me I'm Falling" from "Twang a Country Song" with Duane Eddy from 1963. There are beautiful Emmons solos on almost every track.

My bad. I thought I read something where Paul had posted about playing on the album. I just assumed he played it all. That was recorded post retirement I think wasn't it? Would that make it one of Buddy's most recent recordings?

I just went back and looked up the post Paul made in 2009 and he clearly stated what tracks Buddy played on... I guess my memory ain't what it used to be.

I need to correct my previous post. I thought it was Buddy Emmons on Del Reeves' "You Comb Her Hair." It's Weldon Myrick. All these years I assumed - because of the Emmons guitar - the "big as a barn" sound and the deliberate phrasing - it was BE. Of course it's Weldon. Where you can really hear it is focusing in on his vibrato and timing on the 5th & 6th strings. That's Weldon - just like on the Moe Bandy sides. Sorry for the error. I'm sure many of you knew this.

After reading all the post I wonder if I'm the only one that listens to George Strait. LOL I love everything Buddy ever played but Adalida by George Strait blows me away. Makes me wonder what Buddy had in his orange juice that morning.
I have seen Adalida performed on several tv shows as well as awards shows and no other player has ever even made an attempt at playing that turn.
Way to go Buddy. No one will ever leave a mark on country music like you have.
