Birmingham Symphony Hall on Sunday. Opening the show with an instrumental on my Fender PS-210, and then backing all the guests and generally keeping a watchful eye on the lads in the band.

I can't plead guilty of playing anywhere this weekend as I do what little picking I can at home. However, in just a few minutes Karen and I are leaving for Renfro Valley, Ky to spend the weekend with our son Greg. That is where he works from February until the weekend before Christmas so its always easy to know where he is pickin.
He has tickets for all the shows today (5) starting a 2PM and a show tomorrow morning. Then he is going to spring for dinner for Fathers Day. We are looking forward to a great weekend and some good pickin is in store. I think the staff band there is a killer group and play real country music, but as you might guess we are biased in our opinion.
[This message was edited by Walter Jones on 17 June 2006 at 03:40 AM.]

I am not playing this weekend, so I going to listen to Hank Garland and Jimmy Bryant all night tonight. Maybe even open a cold one and just sit back listen to two of the finest guitar players that ever chose to play country music. Just imagine what kind of a country band there is in heaven with singers like Hank Williams, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, and the players, OH MY LORD what players!

Ginger and I will be at the VFW in Kingman, Az. this week-end. Then our calendar is cleared for the summer months.
I have our small recording studio set up and started work this past week on a 12 song album featuring Ginger and some good old Classic Country Songs.
Got one tracked, just 11 more to go! lol..
