Hi Todd . Sure wish you could make it . Maybe it will rain and the dbl. header will be cancelled . Then maybe you could miss one of the play's performances and make the show after all . Wishful thinking perhaps . Wow , only 10 more days . Time to "git-r-done" . Rick

Great news everyone ! I just spoke with the Wallace household and the doctors have given Herby the OK to travel . As of tonight (4/12) they are planning on making the trip to New Phila , Ohio for the 2006 Celebration . I'm so excited at the thought of him being able to Make the show . Of course our first and primary concern is for his health .I told them that if for any reason they felt it not in Herby's best interest that it would be fine and all his many fans would understand if he couldn't attend . Thanks to you , his friends and fans for all your prayers and support you have shown them in this time of need . Without a doubt the Lords hand is upon this. Another word of thanks for everyones patience in not calling at this time . The outpouring of love and caring is awesome but a little overwhelming . The Doc says one thing Herby needs most is rest . So you can imagine how little rest he would get if he answered all the phone calls,no matter if well intended. Wow , didn't mean to go on and on like that , But I am so happy and excited that my good friend is doing so well and expects to have a full and complete recovery . Let alone try to make the show . Thanks and hope to see everyone on the 21st through the 23rd . Rick

Hi, all. I'm excited to post my first message here. I am re-learning the steel- did a brief stint for a couple of artists in the 80's; I'm primarily 6-stringing for a living. I got myself a couple of boookings in Canton so as to be near the New Phila. event and I can't wait! I'm proud to be a friend of Sonny Curtis, and a big fan of John H. Ever heard his duets with Dicky Betts on "Higway Call"? Pure joy on the the PSG. Hope to meet some of you- what a great community you have here!

Hi Chaz. Welcome to the forum . The best place to stay in touch with what's happening in the steel guitar world . So glad you're back at the steel guitar . Nothing like it . So few people know about the Betts duet . I think guitar players are listening to it for the guitar work and then think who in the world is on the steel . John is so accomplished . All know him for his spine tingling "shiver" but those who know him best know he can jazz, swing or rock it up with the best . Hope to see you at the show . Only 5 more days . Rick

Hey Rick

Didn't think I could come but things change. I'll be there Saturday with a couple buddies. It will be nice to watch someone else sweat.

Hi Al . That's great news . So glad you'll be able to make it . As for watching others sweat , It's like swimmin' . It's allot more fun if you're in the water too . Bring that bass along . I'm sure we'll get you up with someone . And I know you won't find another bkwds. upside down bass player to borrow a bass from . See ya in a couple of days . Rick

Hi Everyone . As I mentioned before ,Mr. Herby Wallace is coming ! I'm so excited and thankful that he is well enough to attend .Unfortunately his right hand is experiencing some coordination problems and wont be able to play . He will be offering all his fine courses and store of products for sale . So plan to attend and wish Herby well and pick up all the things you waited for . He will be doing an interview posted as the "demonstration" portion of the show at 3:30 on Friday afternoon . What a great way to kick things off ! Still time to make plans to attend . See you there ... Rick
