Two of my PP's ( revised 4/24/20 )
1973 Lacquer D 10 PP. "Ruby" (completely restored by Mike Scaggs) This was originally a green mica guitar in poor condition. Mike removed the mica and installed tiger stripe veneer. The underneath is red flocked. The workmanship is outstanding.
1967 D 10. (Professionally restored by former owner, Charlie McVay.) I purchased this guitar 27 years ago and it was my main guitar for many years. It's still in beautiful condition.

does anyone know what year the spacing between pedals got narrowed down on push pulls?
i'm assuming somewhere in the early 70s, but when?

Chris, yep...you're in the ballpark there. I'm thinking around '72 - '73 is when they started installing 9 or more pedals with the 2 3/8" spacing (if folks wanted extra pedals). But I think they still used the
wide cast pedals until about '74 or '75. After that, they went to the
narrow cast pedals. I used to own a '65 bolt-on that came with 9 pedals (with 2 1/2" spacing) and I currently own a '64 wraparound that is very the same way....and I've seen photos of other very early guitars like this as well.

From what I've read here on the forum,3 push pulls = 1 Franklin
Isn't that the gospel truth if I read it right here on the forum ? LOL

Talk about pedal spacing, I have a p/p guitar that Doug Jernigan once owned and played. It has 11 foot pedals. I don't know what the pedal spacing is but it has to be close to make room for all those pedals.

Crowbear .... I'd love to hear how you came across Bill Keith's guitar. I remember seeing that guitar in Winnie Winston's book way back when I first started playing. Is Bill still playing steel or just banjo?

Hey Skip Edwards!
Thank you for posting a picture of my Basket Weave Emmons. I wouldn't have any idea how to do that. I'm lucky I can even type a post with one finger.
