Know what you mean Bill about not being able to hear anything but kick drum and bass. We went to one of the Casinos in Oklahoma to hear Gene Watson and also at another time for Connie Smith. Sound man was out front but that's all you could hear was drums and bass. Why do some sound guys think that a mix has to be that way. Same guy for both shows and I went and talked to him and told him both times that I drove a long way to hear steel guitar and good vocals and almost had to get ballistic with him but he did change the sound a little where I could hear the music. Why do some of these idiots think the dam kick drum and bass has to be so loud? Clubs here in town same way. Can't even hear the music. What few places our band does play around here, we always get compliments on our sound. We're told that we are the only band that you can actually hear the vocals and all instruments. We mike everything on stage always except the drums. They are loud enough.

By the way Bill, sound in Dallas was good this year and has been for a few years but before that, it was really terrible in my opinion. Too loud a screechy before. Haven't been to St. Louis in a long time but was always good up there.
