2008 Rains D10 8X6

The Carter gets played out more because it's light. I would have more, but my wife will only let me have a new one every 8 to 10 years. I may not live long enough to get my third one.

The LDG is the first steel I owned, I sold it after a couple of years then bought it back a couple of months ago.

The Carter is the main work horse for live work. i like to record with the Sho Bud's

It depends on what qualifies. I have a D10 Zumsteel with 9 plus 9. I also have an S12 Dekley with 7 plus 8 . In addition I have an Edwards (Domeland)D10 with 10 plus 7. I also have a Thielsteel pedal Dobro with 6 plus 6 and a Thielsteel triple neck 9 string non pedal. In the Thielsteel (home made brand) I have an S10 console and a D9 console a 9 string lap steel and a 20 string lap steel (a ten strings tuning with the strings in pairs tuned in octaves.) They have all been used on playing jobs and sound and play very well.

I have three steels :- Bennett D10 8X7
Williams D10 8x5
Bennett SD10 4X6

Since I changed the p/u on the SD10 from a Wallace TT to BL 705 I can't stop using it.Such a change in tone.And it's got a set up with a mixture of Franklin and Tommy White's copedents.23 pulls on the E9,but it works real well and tunes up great.

I have two: S-10 red mica Carter and D-10 Natural Wood Grain Carter. Ordered both new and love'em both. I take the S-10 to gigs that aren't heavy in "real country" content.

I have two a 2003 SD10 BMI I leave set up in cowboy church with a Session 400 it has 3 & 5. I have a 1986 BMI SD10 with 3&5 I use to play where ever I play and my practice guitar I use a Peavey Nashville 112 on it. Have had no problems with either both stay's in tune very rarely break a string.

Not many Derby players posting in this thread.... but it seems we only need one! Here's my one and only (ok, for now anyway!)....SD-10 4x5, with a few mods (Emmons fretboard, tone control, Trutone pup).

I play them both, still experimenting with different sounds when I mix & match guitar/effects/amps/speakers. But the ETS is my pack and go guitar.

Currently have three pedal steels:

Zum D-10, 9x8, late 80's model
Zum S-12, 7x7, early 2k
Zum D-10 Hybird, 8x5, 2009 or so.

I have owned most of the other brands over the years, some good, some bad. There are many nice guitars on the market, one just needs to find what fits their style and budget.

i dont even consider myself a steel player (yet) , but i will be. dont you worry. my minds like a steel trap..now what was i talking about ? oh, i have four.
two shobud ldg's, a black pro 111 and a red super pro. all i have to play through is a session 400 and a fender twin reverb /vibrato stompbox and a dan electro delay echo. im happy. guitars i have 9 and the set of tweed blues amps. blues junior, deluxe, and deville.
