Truly sad news. I know that I speak for many when I say that Jimmy was one of my idols.

I only met him once, but he seemed like a very nice guy. I'm sorry I didn;t get to know him better.

May God Bless and comfort you Elsie, Rhonda, and your entire family. Sharon and I are so deeply saddened by this news. Sharon still plays the entire Chicken Pickin' CD daily, over and over, for its tremendous healing qualities. I am glad I had the priveledge to have enjoyed Jimmie's loving friendship for so many years. Words cannot express just how much we've all lost... But, his legacy will live on forever in our hearts, and through those of us he has inspired.

God rest your soul in heaven, Jimmie.

My condolences to Jimmie's Family and friends.
I only met Jimmie once, and he was very nice to me and took the time to answer some questions, that I guess he had answered many, many times for me and a lot of others. He was a funny guy and very likeable. I still have the "Steel Guitar Rag" polishing cloth he gave me in St. Louis.

What a terrible loss. On behalf of the officers and members of the Pedal Steel Guitar Association we extend our deepest sympathy to Elsie and the Crawford family. We always looked forward to seeing Jimmy and Elsie at the St. Louis convention. Jimmy's masterful playing on a Fender Custom D-6 was a big influence on me in the 50's when I listened to him backing Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper on the WWVA Jamboree every Saturday night. He became an icon in the pedal steel world. We shall miss him.

Very Sad News....I;ve known Jimmie for many years, but got to know him better after having him & Doug Jernigan do a seminar for us in 1979 in Toronto.
Our thoughts & prayers are with Elsie & Family.
I know Jimmie will be keeping everyone in stitches in his new life.
