Fred: We'll give David a warm reception. After we meet him at LaGuardia Airport he will have to experience the ride of a lifetime to Norwalk, Ct. It'll be rush hour on the Interstate and I'm sure David will be sure to fasten his seatbelt.

BTW, Cathy, John, Darlene and myself are looking forward to the warm climate and hospitality of Mesa, AZ in January for the SWSGA Steel show. I hate to use the snow blower in Winter it interferes with my vibrato!.

Thanks to our publicity chairman, Rob Segal, (a fine steel player from NYC) we've been getting inquiries from folks who've never heard of our event. A lady called today from Norwalk, CT, where our event is held. She received a free copy of the classic Connecticut newspaper "The Stamford (CT) Advocate". She referred to the publicity release that Rob sent out to the Press and Radio and Television stations announcing our event. The gal said she would make sure her husband (new to the steel guitar) would attend along with several of his musician friends.

BTW The Advocate covered our show in Darien, CT in 1995 which featured Jimmy Day and Jeff Newman. They published a full color photograph of Jimmy on the front page of the newspaper and gave us a BIG write up to boot. Steel guitar is alive in CT and the Northeast. We are happy to have been a part of it's popularity and more importantly, informing the public of the musical quality of this remarkable instrument that we love to play!

If I may add, if you haven't seen or heard Gary Lee Gimble before, I think that you are in for a pleasant surprise. He can pick the heck out of either neck. There are a few psg musicians that I never tire of listening to and he's one.

Hi Mr.Maickle

I wanted you to know that we meaning all of our family were planning to attend your show
in Norwalk. My mom is really ill and my dad is with her day and night. We all wanted to be at your show to listen to all those great steel guitar players and most of all we had planned on seeing my dad perform. You may not belive this but we havent heard my dad play for years.

We wanted to go to St Louis but we were not able to be there to see my dad inducted into the steel guitar hall of fame with many thanks to you for helping him acheive that honor.

We are all so disappointed that we are unable to be there. My dad told me that he was all set to play the show as a suprise guest because he didnt know if he would be able to attend. For our family who missed the show in St.Louis, this was to be hearing and seeing my dad along with all the fine musicians who will perform.

This event was meant to be a St.Louis re-run for all of our family.

My dad is having a most difficult time, the most difficult time of his life.

All of our family wish you and your people the very best and it would have been a treat
for all of us to be there.

With our thanks for all you have done for my dad over the years, we want you to know we all appreciate it.

Best wishes to all of you and to my dad's friend Mike Gross. We will miss being there with all of you.

From all of us to all of you,Happy Thanksgiving.. Good luck we really
looked forward to being there with all of you.

Dear Lorrie and Casey: Thanks for your kind message. We are all sorry for the problems that all of you are experiencing and continue to pray for both your mom and dad. We were hoping that Jody would be able to be here in CT with us, but understand why he cannot. We also regret that the rest of the Carver family can't be here either. God Bless each of you and give you strength i this trying time.

The concert and Super Jam on Saturday were both well attended in spite of the snow north of Norwalk, CT. The music was superb.

The show just got under way this morning at 11:00 am with Roger Trahan of New Bedford, MA kicking things off. What a fine player! More to come as we move along. BTW the wireless internet connection works just fine here in then main ballroom of the hotel.

I was only able to attend the afternoon show yesterday. (Also, the morning session with Chuck Lettes.) Even with only getting to enjoy a part of the weekend, it was a totally satifying experience. All the players were awesome. What a great show you guys put on! I'll be trying to spend the whole weekend next year.

I attended the Sat nite jam last year. This year I attended most of Sat afternoon sessions, and the Sat nite Super Jam. I would like to thank the PSGA organizers and all of the great players that made this a great event. The music that was presented all day Sat. was great and the Sat nite Super Jam was, well, SUPER! Thanks to all for putting on a great show!

I would like to thank all of the members and non-members of the PSGA, for attending our great show, this past weekend. Your support enables us, to aquire the superb professional steel players each year. The talent never ceases to amaze me, and the warmth and appreciation of the audience is truly felt.

Thanks to all the fine folks involved with the Connecticut PSGA show. I had a great time and felt lots of love from the crowd even before I passed the hat! I'm really looking forward to next year. I'll be sure to get a manicure for the cameras (which was a great idea) and I'll have my little MSA beauty ready to be whisked up onto the stage to play again. Folks it really was that easy to get set up and play. The stage was divided in half and while a player was playing on one side, the next player was setting up on the other side. This resulted in a five minute wait time between players. A great idea with wonderful results. My hat (and hair) goes off to all of you who put on one fine show! Thanks for your hospitality and the uplifting experience. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Next stop, sunny Arizona!
