We are still busy rebuilding the home after the fire Oct 14th. Shop is still closed 3-4 months

We are starting to get tech questions via email again. Just wanted to remind folks I am not responding to emails on tech issues.

Ken, there are those who think they are entitled to the free labor, efforts, and intellectual benefits of others...

I just finished all 1100 pages of Ayn Rand's tome "Atlas Shrugged" from 1957.

She describes all of this perfectly.

It ain't gonna get any better. Batten down yer hatches...
Lawyers are done: Emmons SD-10, 3 Dekleys including a D10, NV400, and lots of effects units to cover my clams...

We are retired from amp repair. I am averaging 3-7 phone calls or emails every day still about repair issues and such.

Please post questions on the Forum. I do not answer emails for tech support. My website email states this as well.

Taking care of Ruth after knee surgery. 8 PM messages in last two days and probably 6 emails on tech questions in two days.

I am retired and have much to care for here at home. I try to answer questions in the electronics section when I can find time.

Hoods up pants down

Post by Bill Howard »

My Wife is a Nurse. I'm a former automatic transmission shop owner,I was also a certified auto mechanic as well. At family get togethers even relatives would barrage my wife with medical issues,She is a triage nurse and had to listen to everyone's aches and ill's one person even brought along a blood pressure cuff:).. and they were lined up... likewise anyone with any problem on their car
would bother me with their problems as well.
We both worked long hours and I finally announced no more medical or auto issues would be addressed, Sorry We came to visit and enjoy ourselves not work... We called it Hoods up&Pants down since one relative pulled the edge of her capris aside...lol
Ken I know how people are... the A$$ who replied like that to you doesn't surprise me in the least.
I had a guy cuss me out,I built the transmission in his 4x4 truck about 4 years before, the factory had replaced 3 or 4 transmissions in it before it was 2 years old,Mine lasted 4 years .... I think most forum members including myself think of you as a pretty smart person..You work speaks for itself..
I know 99+44/100% understand your view.
I just want to say thank you for the past advice you have given me... I used to come up with clever little lines....my transmissions whining....Maybe it's lonely...Humming???no doubt doesn't know the words...Thanks again Ken!! :D

Glad to help out when I can on the Forum. Pete, I answered that one, but I can;t be much help there. That would probably require a distortion analyzer to find the stage causing the distortion.

wow what a guy

Ken,
I love the chip sets I have bought for every PV amp I have owned for the last few years--they make a night and day difference, unless of course I install them backwords, again
thank you for your patience and help.
I could not blame you a bit for spening more time with family while retired. I am sorry some a.....ole had to send such a tasteless email. You have always been a stand up guy and my amps sound better for it. besides the session 400 while they sound great make a good doorstop if they get noisey, just my tech advise hear....
thanks for all you do for all of us.
Matthew
