Just want to thank Bob H and Mike S for being at this show. It was a great honor for me to have met these two great players. Bob and Mike added the "Nashville professional playing system" to this band stand.
Can not forget about Louie Halford from Texas. Surprised to see him here and his playing with the Hammer Band was the best. Nothing left steel guitar wise with these guys on this program.
The producers need to be thanked profusely for bringing us all together for another weekend of the best music.
I am listening to Wendel Gurley's new cd-"Better Late than Never" as I am writing this. I was so proud to have the priviledge to play a few songs with his voice-such a great vocalist. Everyone stops talking when Wendel sings. Jim Reeves would have had a very tough time competing with Wendel, but competing is not the right word. There is ALWAYS a very good space for talents like Wendels. Thanks for giving me this honor Wendel. Sure want you on our Deep South Stage soon. (Even though ours is a "steel show", I want all of our audience, fans and friends to hear a real talent and enjoy this great singer to the fullest-- so we will just have to give him a program all his own with his choice of steel players).

Thanks to everyone at the Fulton Show, Myself and Ginny had a ball. Thanks to Mike Sweeny, Bob Hempker and Bill Stafford it had a touch of all that we love about steel guitar music. Mike your albums are all great. If you haven't heard Mikes and Bill Staffords albums, you are missing a great listening experience. Much of what you hear on them and love so much cannot be reproduced in a live situation.
Bill, your new Excell sounded great and you pulled everything out of it. What a joy to have people like you around to remind us what melodious sounds can be produced out of these most wonderful instruments
Bob Hempker hope to see you at more steel Shows, your smoothness and expertise was outstanding.
Thank you Jim Parker for a wonderful time and a great show.
Blessings to all,
Doc and Ginny Rickles

Lem, I'm sorry we missed each other. Maybe next time around. I did get to see my friend, Louie Halford. He's still playing great. I got to meet Bill Stafford, and he is a true gentleman, and a great player. I listened to his CD's while driving home. He's the real deal. I again want to thank Mr Jim Parker and Jack Hammer for inviting me down and having me on the show.

Thanks so much to all the great folks connected with the Fulton Show! They always see to our having a great weekend with them. Having one of our best buddies playing as well this year made it all the more special. It was great to see everyone concerned. Wendell did a great job on vocals as did Christie and "Little Bit". I do think the surprise of the show was when Debra Lamb sang some of the great Loretta Lynn songs with Bob. They both did a wonderful job. All in all it was a memorable weekend. Get some rest, Jim Parker. You deserve it! See ya'll next time!

WOW!! What a great couple of days, seeing old friends and making new ones, and what talented steel players to give us the joy of hearing the superb musical sounds they so freely share with us.
To each of you who had a kind word to say about me, thank you, and believe me, the pleasure was all mine.
Glenda and I thank each person that had a hand in making this another time to fondly remember! Wendell
