Just have to say YOU ALL RAWK!!!! Seriously. This is about the most uplifting thread I've ever read on any Forum. Makes me proud to be part of the Forum and a hack on the PSG.
This is "community in action"...the promise and potential of the internet writ large. Good On Ya All!

Mickey,
Had a blast hanging out last night and it's too bad we could not beat the one legged guy and his partner on the pool table, but I'll be wrapping up a KnobGuard to put on that NV-112 and sending it out asap.

Mickey, please advise me where to send a few CD/Tab packages ( my projects ) including Together Again to help keep the momentum.

Also, fellow members, lets not forget Carey Heavner and the battle she and her family ( Forum member Mike Heavner ) are going through.

Jimmy!...I had a great time with you guys too. its always great to make new friends, looking forward to my next visit...Cant wait to get the knob gaurd...thanks so much!
Geoff, thanks for your post. I cant wait to share the whole thing on Youtube.
I got another letter from him today...He is so excited, grateful, and just plain beside himself...I cant tell you how proud I am of all of you...
Ive wanted you guys keeping tabs to know what has safely arrived here:
Strings, T-Shirts, DVDs, Tuner, Cables...Still on the way..NV112, Bar Picks, the Changer for the SD10...and several other items still enroute!!!
Here is a portion of the long letter I received after I called him and gave him the news!!!
After you called me the other day about the steel guitar that you are giving away to me, I had to leave you a nice comment on YouTube, but I forgot to edit the comment.
You really got me excited after your call! My wife is so excited too and wants to meet you someday, but she might not get to. (name withheld until!) works 12 hour shifts at the clinic from 7a.m. to 7:30 p.m. . (name withheld until) is off work this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Her schedule rotates every other week. Next week she works Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday, Thursday, works Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
We don't know how soon you are coming because you probably are real busy with your flights for your boss. I just wanted to give you some idea about my wifes schedule. If she can not be here when you come someday, she said that is OK, maybe we can drive down to Texas sometime to visit and have a mini vacation.
Heck Mickey, my wife and I never had a real honeymoon when we first got married 37 years ago. We always wanted to go to Hawaii or the Virgin Islands, but we put our kids first so they could have the things we never had. I had to sell my steel guitars back then to support us. I never gave up hope on playing the steel guitar all through those lean years we went through with the kids.
Now that all 3 of my kids are married, and I have these disabilities, I have all this free time to finish where I left off learning the pedal steel 37 years ago.
Mickey,I still can not get over that phone call that I got from you the other day. You must really have a big heart to do something special like this. You truly are a special giving person.
You can count on me to let all of your friends know just how special you are when the time comes. They probably don't have a clue how special of a friend they have for doing something like this. Anyway, I got to go do some "honey do this" things before my wife gets home.
Warmest Regards (.....)

To TOMMY! AND everyone else involved!
Fellow forumite, and good friend Dick Wood and I just flew home safely to Dallas after delivering the package to our friend Don Christy in Newton Kansas. Don met us at the airport with his lovely wife Rhonda..Words cannot express the look on his face. We took everything to his house, set it all up, and got him started learning the Steel Guitar again!.
He will be joining us here on the forum within the next few days, and Im sure he will want to thank each and every one of you personally....
We recorded a ton of video, and I will have a link posted as soon as its finished..Bravo Guys!..>And thanks to all of you for your support
