I think James is doing a great job in enabling us to refurb and or upgrade our Shobuds.
Last week I ordered a lot of parts from James for my '73 LDG.
In '77 Shobud 'upgraded' it to better parts  and I'd like to go back to real good parts like the ones James is making.
Also, James is very supportive in helping me with my LDG. Thanks a lot James!! :D

These are really beautiful parts; just awesome, James. I'm new to the pedal steel guitar thing, and James has graciously provided much assistance - great guy. I can't wait to buy some of these parts from him (I need a Sho-Bud project!!!!!).

I just received an E9 crosa-shaft from James. It's just as beautiful as it looks in these pictures! Can't wait to have the time to install it...

James, any other Sho-Bud parts you are going to manufacture and sell?
Are you keeping the sales limited to the forum? ;-)

Yes Gerard, we will soon have knee levers(tear-drop) and knee lever kits. We are also making pull-rods and pedal-rods. I have parts listed on ebay if you type in Sho-bud.

Any news on the endplates?
If so, can you post some pics of these and other new parts?

James, I put the black original dustcatcher on this Pro 1 I'm finishing up
Imagebut it took away from the look. Then I saw your white fretboard and thought that may be the look. Blue and white work but not black and blue. Can you see the tape on the edges or is it super thin? I could use anyones thoughts on white or original. thanks.

How does this look to ya, David? I agree, white on that blue would be killer. But white on any shobud body looks best to me anyways--it's my fave.

I just got a box of parts from James, and they are excellent quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing parts for their 'Bud.

Here are 2 pictures showing the progress on refurbing my '73 LDG.
When I bought the LDG it was in bad shape and James offered to help me refurb it. I am completely new to the pedal steel.
After a while I came to the conclusion that some parts were just too bad to make 'em nice and shiny.
Luckily James emailed me that he's making new Sho Bud parts. :D
I ordered quite a few parts and these parts are just great.
The nylon bushings in the L-brackets definitely are an improvement.
I am grateful for all of the help I get from James and I am excited about the new parts. Can't wait to have the LDG refurbed and ready to play... :)

James,
Ya gonna make any Fingertip parts? Ya know I'm a total sucker for those!

Hey James, have you got a nylon bushing in the flat bracket where the crossrod mounts to the front apron also, or just in the angle on the other end?

Bobby, Gerard is using his original hangers, but our new ones will have the nylon bushing. I will post pictures when I get them done up. :)
