I played mine for the first time Friday night and had a ball all night long! Very impressed with the workmanship and quality of this guitar.
My Fridays are at a large club (800-1000)and I played (loudly) through a NV1000 and NV112. Tone was beautiful. I just need to make some small adjustments to the placement of the knee levers and I'll be set.
Bill, and others: what pickups do you have in your guitars? I see in the pictures on this thread that there are several different types being used. I'm curious to hear how each of you like the one's installed in your guitars. _________________ Always remember you're unique..... Just like everyone else |

Here's some updated pictures of the one I have (from page one) which show the colours more accurately. Very attractive bit of kit.
This is the reverse colour scheme to Jim Simon's (also on page 1) |

Here's some of the business side:
And the "red glow" of reflections:
And how many (of any make) have the underside of the pedals polished?

It's amazing how his amazing craftsmanship is the same, almost identical on all his guitars!...I am totally enjoying my Rittenberry! _________________ '74 Emmons D10 P/P 8x5,'15 Rittenberry D10 8x5, Peavey Nashville 112, 400 & 1000, Fender Twin Reverb Tone Master, Hilton, Goodrich L120, Boss DD-3 and RV-3 |

Bill Dobins,
I like the sound of Aluminium legs, how much weight did that save?? Tone un-affected?? Is that pick-up quiet in the real world?? Does she honk out a smooth tone?? Clean lows? Sweet highs??
Do these guitars come in laquer and mica options??
I also like the white fretboards, helps a lot when a shady light man isent really DOING HIS JOB!
This guitar sounds like it something to be reckoned with! Great pics.
All these guitars are beautiful. _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

Hey larry, My steel is very quiet.I was playing with a pretty loud band last weekend. No Hum and no hiss even at high volume.
I really don't know how much weight you lose with these legs.I'll try and find out.
I wouldn't trade my steel for ten push pulls.
Thats how much I like my Ritt's tone and playablity. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Steve,
how proud you must be! Beautiful guitar! I don't have to tell you how great the tone and quality; I have one.
It look's like that burr-headed Rittenberry boy and has done another great job and made another steel player happier. |

Tommy, you couldn't be more correct!
I've now played my 4th gig on this one and all the way home tonight I was thinking "I've got to get Gary Rittenberry's address and let him know personally what an incredible instrument he's creating"!
I'm very fortunate to have been hooked up with this guitar! _________________ Always remember you're unique..... Just like everyone else |

Sunday afternoon, I got a chance to play at the "Cowboy Church" in Pearland, Texas.
To my surprise, my old friend Herby Remington came to play. It was a great day to set on the stage with him.
As soon as he got on stage, his comments were, "Is that one of Gary's new guitar's? If course, I had to say yes. His comment was, "Gary builds the best guitar around.
After playing for 30 minutes, Herbie said that the tone on the Rittenberry was amazing and he really like the building on this guitar.
Now, as a builder and a great player, that is a lot coming from Herbie Rememington.
Just thought that I would throw that in! It just adds to what everyone is saying about this guitar.
Oh yea, by the way Gary, in case I want a new one, don't forget my advertising discount along with my "Senior Citizen' discount and any other discount you can throw in......... |

I played my Ritt at a jam sesson yesterday. I pulled it out of the case played for about two hours and never once had to tune anything. As a matter of fact I've had it since March and except for tuning a third string that had broke and a little touch up once in a while it is dead in tune..Amazing. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Mine didn't need tuning when I pulled it out of its packing having been shipped from the dealer in the US to Australia. |

Brandon,
That is a beautiful color you have there. I'll bet your guitar is a chameleon under the lights.
I saw one like that at a show, and I never did figure out what color it actually was, but it did look gorgeous under every color of lighting.
Love the polished hardware!! _________________ Always remember you're unique..... Just like everyone else |

I just talked to Gary today....he's built 12 guitars since the Dallas show! It's just him and his son in the shop, and they crank out the best guitars going today in a TIMELY manner.
The Ritt is the best value in a steel guitar in my opinion. JC |
