I have played this 3 times so far and I'm very very impressed. The fast tempo of All The Things You Are took me by surprize.

It's great to have you back among the pickers.

Thanks so much for your compliments.I take it you liked "All The Things You Are".I actually wanted to play it faster but then the song would only have been 1:29 seconds long instead of 2:29. Glad you liked my music. Besides that...I was sceered I would get a ticket for speeding.LOL

Today, I received Earl's CD and WOW. Why in the world did he lay the guitar down for such a long time, but he sure did the wood shed treatment and this is outstanding. With a God-given talent like that, the world is being cheated by not hearing this man's gift. Earl sent this to me without me sending anything to pay him for but I will pay him what I would in a store because this is great music. Most steel players started out on the guitar and would love this and he even put the Steel Guitar Rag in there for us and I have never heard it done better. He has bared his soul in these tunes and displays a person of great sensitivity. Thanks again Earl, I love it, Gary

Earl, you are a monster guitarist. I was unprepared for the wonderful music you sent me. I hope you enjoy what I sent you today, but it won't compare to your artistry, dude! You'd be welcome on my bandstand, any day, time, or gig.

Hello Earl,
I finally got some time and listened to your CD-what a great sound! I especially like the tones that you get out of the Tele by just using your fingers. I also liked your selection of tunes, especially Shenandoah. All of the songs had original interpretations and some unusual changes. At times, you reminded me of Thumbs Carlisle, one of my favorites. I'm glad that you are back playing the guitar; that's where you belong. Thanks for sharing your music with me. When you run into Big Jim Murphy, please say hi for me. I imagine you two generate some fine music together.

Herb, thanks very much for the compliments. It means a great deal to me coming from a person of your background and reputation. If nothing else I am happy you enjoyed my music and maybe one of these days I'll get down to Texas.
Chuck,I appreciate your compliments also.I think comparing me to Thumbs is a stretch, but I do appreciate you saying that.He was also one of my hero's but I will be the first one to tell you,"There is only one Thumbs".I am glad you liked Shenandoah.
I hope you got my email about your stuff.

Played some of your Cd for the Guys before the Saluda Show yesterday morning and I think More requests for CD's will be coming. Hope this hasn't been too much of a burden on you.
What a great CD and I Heard many, many favorable comments from some great pickers down there.

BTW
I think you are going to need a fan club and I'm applying for the Job of President. I will step out of the way if Gregg wants the job.

Folks, this is a GUITAR PLAYER!!!!!
John Floyd brought this CD to the Saluda show and played it over the PA system. AMAZING playing and the best tone you have ever heard.
Caught everyone's attention right away.

Hi Earl, yep ole John has a knack for getting attention doesn't he. When I walked into the auditorium there, I heard the track over the PA system and thought it must be a new recording of Hank Garland. Tone was just super and the playing is so clean and beautiful-just the way the guitar is supposed to be played.
Thanks for a good experience. (Will you be in St. Louis this year?).
Keep up the good work.

Hey Bill, I can't say for sure if I will go to St.Louis. After all these years you would think I would have gone to one convention, but I was never invited. One thing for sure I will keep up the good work.Thanks.

Well Earl,if you ever decide to sell that Tele, I pity the poor person who buys it. I don't think there will be any licks left in it after hearing your CD.

Seriously, the Post Office broke the first one he sent me in half, and he was kind enough to send me another. Man, that's some fine playing on there Earl! Hope you enjoy the meager offerings I'm sending in return...

Thanks, Earl--you'e a gem.

Well, I've finally sat still long enough to listen to Earl's CD and all I can say is "WOW". Earl, you've produced a magnificent piece of work. Incredible, sensitive playing with chops to burn. Musically diverse, rich and wonderful. I love it and will play it often. Thanks so much for sending it.

Earl, I've listened to your CD many times over. Man, you play. This CD is one of the best I've heard. I always knew you played well but man you're awesome. It's hard to believe all that sound is coming from a Tele. Don't get me wrong I like a Tele but you're getting a tone I'm not use to hearing. What made you use the Tele instead of the ole Gidson? Put it on the market.

I think Earl may have found The Secret From the names of those two massage parlors that used to be on Lower Broad in the 70's, "Magic Touch" and "Magic Fingers".
