Bill Stroud.....Once you sit behind a "Rains" you'll want to call Gary immediately and get one ordered. I've had mine for almost 2.5 years, and it is, by far, the very best guitar I've ever had. ASAP I'm going to take it to Gary and get him to do all the updates on it for me.....from what I've heard from others, it'll play just like a new one. If that's the case, then I need to "git 'er done". So I say to you, too.....(BTW Best Bars in the world, can't use any other kind) Bill....."git 'er done" get that new Rains.

Wow... That looks nice. Where abouts do you live? Give me a call. I would like to see your steel with the improved mechanics underneath as I have not seen one yet. Gary tells me they play even better with the new modifications..

Hey Hal, What's new for the Rains Steels? What I mean is what improvements are you talking about.
I know it has to be underneath, this time when I go to Dallas I'm going to take my personal picks and may get a new bar !!ha ha I don't know yet,,and try one of those rains out. I've heard good things about them.
Hal glad you like your bar, keep on picking..

Hey Bill....Gary didn't go into any details about it, he jut said that he's done some improvements....I guess I'll find out when I take my guitar to him probably in the spring or early summer. There's nothing that sounds any better than a Rains guitar being played with a BJS Bar with the birthstone........HAL

Just got my upgraded "06" SD10 back from Gary Carpenter yesterday. The pedal stops are rock solid and pedal travel is noticeably shorter. The action is also smoother. Gary made a great guitar greater. I'm not sure what all was done, but the underside doesn't look like the same guitar. IMHO Well worth the time, effort, and money. Also, UPS came through -the trip from East Tennessee to Fort Worth, the upgrade, and the trip back took 9 days.
