Fanned scale lap steel, what are your thoughts?

Many of the great inventors throughout history made efforts of all types and at times they really paid off.

I always wondered after all these years why Spanish guitars haven't changed much. Finally guitars are starting to get more ergonomically designed for our stomach, and arms. The sound holes are moving up to the side of the upper bouts, etc. I like it.
