Man the excitment is hummin' around here ! (very small pun) So many great players all on one weekend ! Things are starting to really come together .
I have some good news and some bad news . The bad news is my good friend and terrific steel player, Rudi Osborne will not be able to play this years show .As most of you know he fell and broke his arm . As if that wasn't bad enough there were complications with the mending process and left him with allot of pain and limited mobility . So they repared it, which is wonderful as they expect a complete and full recovery but more than likely he'll be back in a cast for 6 -8 weeks . He is going to try to attend the show which will be great but I'll sure miss his rendition of Ode to Billy Jo .
Now the good news ! The legendary Mr. Don Helms is coming ! That's right the only living member of the Drifting Cowboy Band will be on stage with the rest of these great steel players . I can still remember the 2004 show . As he played Cold Cold Heart . Just he and the Steel ,That wonderful old steel . The lights came down . People were crying . Still gives me goosebumps ! So plan to attend ! You never know what awesome experience is going to happen ! RT
