I just sold one, so I'm down to 8. 7 of them have pedals. b0b, it's not a case of what we 'need'. Tell Mrs. Lee the next time she buys a new dress, "Did you really NEED another dress?" She'll probably say "Yes". When that finally sinks in, duck for cover. I use each guitar for a specific gig most of the time. If I'm not working with someone who will be doing a lot of 6th stuff, I use a single and leave the 'heavyweights' at home. Lately I've been working with Gospel groups in the area, so out comes the S-12 E9/B6/A6 Uni. Sometimes it's just fun to play a different guitar. I don't spend any money on anything else to speak of, don't have car payments, mortgage payments are reasonable. I'd rather have more guitars!! I've been using the same 2 amps for 20 and 22 years respectively, so I've saved a lot of bucks over the years in that department. My 'newest' (most-recently-built) guitar is from 1985. . .all the others were built before that!!

Very interesting pic and very nice stable of guitars. I like that two tone Sho-bud, it reminds me of my old "Professional" I once
had. To think that its "the tip of the iceberg" is beyond
my ability to reason. 8)

Gary Shepherd,

Playing that one steel has really put a smile on your friend's face!

Hope you get your 2nd steel, but don't let him hog all the fun!

Well, I'm down to 7 pedal steels and two non pedal steels, and a few other toys.

I haven't posted this in a while, but here is my favorite trio, and a few amps etc. in the background.

I bought 2 of the same guitar brand so that what I practiced with, will have the same feel on stage with the other guitar. There's compromising that way. I do have 4 great! steel amps. Each has it's on personality in tone.

I have two old Shobud S-10s, a Kline U-12, and a GFI. I'll be getting a Performance one of these days soon, so the GFI will be ebayed!
