'Cut out doors and windows to make a room,
but it is in the spaces where there is nothing
that the usefulness of the room lies.

Therefore,
Benefit may be derived in something,
but it is in nothing that we find usefulness.'

Yes, the wisdom of Lao Tzu:
And, just to think __ from pure NOTHING (as in all innovative thinking) he has taught the world over 100 ways to wok a dog!

Rick, that gives a whole new concept to "Wokking the Dog." :whoa:

Which reminds me, I must sign off for now as I need to walk my daughter's dog.

Thanks Kevin, so to stick with the topic I'll say nothing. :D ;-)

I've had nothing on my mind lately, just this morning.

But I'm reminded of another famous quote by the old boy,
'Running the kingdom is like wokking a small dog--I meant, cooking a small fish, yeah, that's it....'

That's it, still NOTHING HERE.
I am not coming back to this tread until the new year where I pretty sure there will still be NOTHING worth reading.

Happy new year to NOTHING.

In deference to this topic, or because it's the easiest way to go ...you decide... I've decided that my New Year's Resolutions for 2015 will be NOTHING. :\

It is not true.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
That is, it could be further from the truth.
By the same token, it could also be closer to the truth.
So, nothing could be closer to the truth.
Therefore, it is true.

Ah, nothing is more fun that equivocation.
That's obvious, since there are now 135 pages on nothing.

See, I just did it again.

This statement that I am posting is just not true. It's a lie. :whoa:

...actually, I was lying about it being a lie. It's true.

I better start counting again...this has gone way too far to be NOTHING !! :whoa: :? :(

I knew it....

I said in my first statement that I was telling a lie, but in my second statement I disclosed that I was lying about it being a lie. That means it must be true, and since it's true I couldn't have been lying about it being a lie, so it really is a lie, which makes the second statement false, but if the second statement about my lying about it being a lie was false then I really was telling the truth about the statement being a lie, which means it must be true ...true that it's a lie, that is. :\

My neighbor took a lightning strike last night. He and I both found out that NOTHING is coming from out water wells...

TRUE...

Posted: 4 Jan 2015 8:26 pm
by Alan Brookes
Does nothing always come out of those wells? If so, what is their purpose, unless you need a good supply of nothing? And if you need a good supply of nothing there are many places you can find nothing cheaper, which is nothing to write home about. :\

There are bold-faced lies, little white lies, and darn stinking lies (those which aromatically permeate the air).
But, there is NOTHING worse than a bold-faced lie. :x
So remember, if you type something on the SGF in bold-face type and you are unsure of whether or not its true, you may have submitted a bold-faced lie.

Can you lose NOTHING.?

Nothing to lose....
