They are on my website- www.steelguitars.me under inventory. There is a badge underneath the guitar that says "Designed and Custom Built for Wally Murphy by
ZB Guitar Company, Phoenix, Arizona" and the guitar is 2" taller than std. Think "William Tell" :)

I had one of those S-10 closet queens. Not as old as Ben's but from 1975 I believe and really clean. Sold it a few years ago.

I looked it up and sold it to John Hansen in Washington State back in 2008. Not sure if he still has it. That's going on 8 years. I don't think he has been on the forum in a while. She was a beauty though and sounded great as I remember ... why did I sell it? :)

Or this one... are you viewing Joe Camacho? Joe, I hope you know that I'm still just funnin' with you. You always played that blue ZB better than I ever did.

Nice picture, Joe. Now I'm more depressed than ever. Not only do you play it better than me... you're way better looking than me too. I tells ya, life ain't fair.
Play it in great health, my friend.

Recent 1969 ZB Custom sold on the forum. Very nice. Looks like a D10 version of Tom Brumley's from the Tom Cattin' Album cover.

Just received my new to me ZB from forum member Doug Demaire natural maple D11 8/9 serial #0497 purchased new by Walley Murphy in 1972
so it is close to your serial # Carl.
I was thinking of refinishing it till I practiced on an old piece of wood,
I had bought the sandpaper, stripper, food color, and alcohol
(the kind you rub not the kind you drink) after a few hours of mistakes I though hey...it looks great the way it is!
So I think I will concentrate on under the hood instead.
I would like to keep Walley's copedent,
and change the C6 side to Zane Kings E6/9 copedent. Is this even possible? without a lot of reconstruction?
Here is the current copedent on the guitar.

... and yet another beauty. Here's ZB #1167

I bought this ZB, serial # 1167, used in 1976 in Oakville, Ontario.

It originally had 1 Knee and 5 pedals near the middle of the body.

Thanks to Ed Naylor back in 2001 or so, I've had parts for 3 more knee levers and have finally spent some time working on the guitar. ... still a work in progress.

It sounds great !

It plays well except for poor return of lowered 4th string and hearing mechanical noise.

The 4th knee lever is next, then modify the nut rollers with smaller axle and bearings, and mechanically isolate the p/u.

I'm assuming from info on Sonny Curtis's # 1163 that my guitar may be from 1968 or 69. Any info appreciated.

Cheers,
George Webb

Somehow PARADE Magazine and Entertainment Tonight failed to mention that this was International Red '60s ZB week, but I guess I'd better jump in.

This was seen previously on the Forum up for sale last year in January, then a few months later. Equipped for up to 8 pedals. This one is #1072 from May 1967 if I recall Greg Jones' research.

International Red '60s ZB week continues (5/14/16) with this D-11 (s/n 0300) for sale at Carter Vintage Instruments in Nashville:

Hey George,
I love the work you did on Wade's CD. Great stuff. Used to play with Wade years ago. Played with you a time or two as well.

George, If your guitar is #1163 then it was invoiced on Dec. 17th 1968 to Sonny Curtis. I know Sonny was a ZB dealer and took orders right from the stage when he worked for George Jones.
