I had neglected in my haste to post, that my good friend Mike Cole passed away a few short weeks before the aqquisition of Fender in 1965,He was Fender, and his memory will always be in my heart of hearts.

God Rest your sweet soul Mike Cole aka Koladish.

Mike was the brother of John Koladish another Fender original who resides in New Hampshire.

please forgive Jody's posts with the quotes. I had the same problem. when you hit the quote button either by accident or on purpose, I can't find a way to recitify it for as you see, there is no EDIT option in a post reply, with a quote. Besides, what can you expect from a bunch of steel players ? lol :D :D :D
You da man b0b, Please have mercy !

I forgot to mention in my earlier post to express my deepest thanks to Sandy Miller for all her help in the prodding of Jody Carver. Maybe with a little more prodding from her, we'll sooner be able to read
"The Last Fender Guitar" in it's entirety!

bOb has moved the thread that I started for my good friend Frank Green to "MUSIC" check this out, the book
is great and It's title is The Other Side Of The Story. this deals with Frank's insight from the years he spent behind the inside of Music Man, Frank was with Leo and Tom Walker from 1978 through 1982 when Music Man went down. I joined forces with Leo and Tom in 1975 when I resigned from CBS Fender.

Take a look, I know you will want this informative book composed by my friend the Great Frank Green.

Thanks

The Last Fender Guitar By Jody Carver & Sandy Miller

Since we are on the subject of books pertaining to the past history of MusicMan, I would like to take advantge to let those of you aware who have waited so very long for this almost impossible dream of mine to see the coming this fall,"The Last Fender Guitar" stories of laughter, sadness and things of interest to those who appreciate what is termed a "human interest" story. Thank Goodness Sandy has really been a big help in organizing the stories and downright helpful in moving me along. I do get lazy and put things aside, but Sandy motivates me to get this done, and that it will be. Good news travels fast, Sandy will co-write our book.

We are doing our very best and will announce the preview and availabilty as soon as we can. This book will be dedicated to Marilyn Carver as she was there during all those years and it would have made Marilyn proud to know that I have made her dream come true.
It was Marilyn who wrote the book and Sandy insisted I do this for Marilyn to doing this book, I could not have done this without her. The day we were married was the first chapter in our lives of a love that lasted over 50 years. She will always be in my heart FOREVER!!! I know Marilyn would be as proud as myself and Sandy and all of my family as well.

Thanks again, I am really pleased that this way long overdue dream will become reality. We will have this book ready by fall.I hope to have a hard copy sent to Robyn Orsini Fender's legal aide for her approval and until that time, we will continue to work on the now long overdue announcement of the "THE LAST FENDER GUITAR" ***
