K5RNA but have not been active for 15 or 20 years or more. CW was the reason I got into ham radio and quit and sold all my gear when the fcc droped the code requirement and and stopped giving the test at a fcc field office. To me it was like when later country music died.
Have no idea why I renewed my ticket. Guess it was because passing the written theory at a fcc office was not easy for me I failed it 2 times. For some reason the cw came easy but I had an ex navy cw operator teach me and with out realizing it he taught me at 25wpm. I learned to hear the words. He didn't believe in teaching cw at a slow speed. He was an exclent cw teacher but as I said the theory was not esy for me.

Still active.
