Charlie - I am sorry you didn't hear one complete song. This is a direct result of having to use other's equipment - Unfortunately. Still I appreciate your tuning in and the support.
Thanks!

I have loved country music all my life. country music with out the steel guitar is not realy country in my opinion.i listen to steelradio, com with Miss Lana on saterday night and love the show. her {Miss Lana} and michael Scott do a great job I think they have done more for the Steel players along with Scotty then any one I know. my favorite Steel player is eatch and every one i got to meet and talk and listin to at the convention, I also go along with Scotty that a donation to Steeradio, com would help. I have gave my donation this month so I'm asking all you steel playera and listners to do the same. Thinks. Hound dog Ralph,

There is a whole lot more to attending the convention than listening to the music in the main hall. Sitting at home with a cheap speaker on a computer isn't a great substitute.
It's unlikely that someone would opt to stay home and listen if they could attend. What you have listening at home are old timers who can't travel anymore, and people without funds who won't ever be going to St Louis. Or someone who is sick that year. Most likely 98% of listeners are players, and that doesn't translate into millions as was estimated.
We shouldn't expect it to be free. If radio coverage of the Conference is delivered it could be billed, either as a one-time charge, or as a monthly subscription.
Lana's interviews were way better than previous year's chatter, but perhaps "in addition to", rather than "instead of" the music.
