Perhaps from a tuning perspective, but I was never able to get the kind of tone I get out of my lap steel on the pedal steel. They are completely different beasts sound wise.

Bill; You got that right and a 7/8” Tone~Bar doesn't really help the sound either! The Tremolo just isn't quite there!
