Johan, good idea, and in this case the drummer is pretty tiny himself..
But this move isn't with the group yet.
Though there will be lots of flying gigs too.
I just found out the early tune up gigs will be in smaller places amps provided,
and something for me will be worked out in the rehearsal hall.
I don't REALLY need the PSG when I arrive...
but having it removes the steel jones I will be feeling...
But I guess I can play the lapsteel I left down there till the container shows up.
Once I am used to the Uni / Bb6 S-14 I will have no problems traveling with that.
But that 2,880€ over weight fee was mind bending,
I had to ask 3 times for the number... because it was beyong belief...
Over weight flight

the conniption put aside Bro D, yer gettin' some usefull info on this thread
i would have thought buying a second ticket, as Alan K suggests would be cheaper than Fedex.
FedEx, Dhl, do the custom's job for them & make you pay custom duties.
So make sure you have declared the customs status of yer gear on the waybill
these are personal effects & not imports to sell right ?
bills of yer goods prove ownership a lot better than sittin' & pickin' at the terminal fer the officials
you may get reimbursed later tho'if you invite them to the party you'll be havin' of course
Dave R's link is a keeper
Basilh's testimony is eloquent
yes, Bobbe can of course send you some beautyful legs
i'm surprised that w: all the brits, scots, aussies, kiwis, & good ol' boys here, that there is'nt a Steel Maritime Co.
i still think sailing is the way to go, but it's so "vieux jeu"
i would go w: the Uni rather than the D10 at first
break it down Bro D, to the bare essentials.
later on, you can have stuff shipped over to ya' as needed
c'est TOOT ! fer now
