What do you wear on your feets??

well to start with,,,I'm 6'3" and dont use a lift kit. (first Problem). so my footwear is super critical. anything with a very small heel and thin soles are in order. I love moccassins around the house, and use them in the studio,,,but for a regular gig,,,a pair of penny loafers work fine. cowboy boots are out for any fast pedal work. (at least for me). they get caught between my rods. then if you have any foot problems,,(flat feet) or such,,,anything that your happy with, and works,,,,,,go for it.

Hard Sole Leather Slippers... no one can tell they are not casual dress shoes..but my goodness bob...ick...change them once in a while...and hey pal..the socks to, remember when your mother told you to change your underware in case you had an accident you would have clean drawers on? Bob maybe you should try those fancy slippers Dorothy wore to OZ buddy.......

I used to play barefoot or in mocassins. Can't play barefoot in a public place that serves food, it's the law. Wore out the mocs and never replaced them. Tennies are comfy but don't look so good on stage with the Nudie suits, string ties and c'boy hats.

I play in tennies when it's appropriate (practice, jams) but I always put on the Tony Lamas or the Dingos when it's showtime. It takes me a few minutes to get used to the volume pedal when I have the boots on, but dressing the part is just part of being a PROFESSIONAL - I'd rather be wearing boots with the band on stage than tennies by myself in the basement. Anytime.

Ropers or nikes, I havn't really had a problem with playing in either one.I still sound and play the same.(horrible) HA! HA! HA!. Hey man what ever works for you........

When I first started, I wore those zip - up boots like my hero Doug Campbell. After a couple of years I graduated into Patent Leather cowboy boots with "x" toes (pointed) and riding heels. Black Reebok Classics is my choice now. They look good for a sneaker, have a low profile and nice flat bottom. I get a new pair every year at the Reebok factory outlet store while I'm on my way to the Texas show!

Tennies are way too sticky. Leather sole ropers are the right way to fly. Black is good, red is OK, don't get the pink ones.

For me, I've found that I can wear just about anything, if the ankle is cut pretty low in it. As long as my ankle has room to pivot back and forth on the pedals, I'm usually ok.

Black velcro walking shoes. I can wear them loose to keep my bunions comfortable, then when I play, I reach down and tighten up the velcro so it's tight across the ball of my foot for rocking the pedals. When I finish playing and forget to loosen them back up, my bunions start complaining. Getting old is not for sissies.
