Well let's see: In Sept a Sho-Bud Super Pro Just after Thanksgiving a Pedalmaster Classic Just before Christmas a Profex 11 now I am waiting for my local peavey dealer to get my Databass amp fixed and maybe I'll be done. [Maybe] PS My 10 year old grandson named the steels for me: Pedalmaster is Sweet Baby and Sho-Bud is Mean Green.

I must have not been a very good boy this year. I received two neckties and my inlaws bought me and my wife a small CD player system. My children had a great Christmas and that is what matters most to me.

My wife got me a leglamp for my music room. It's a good looking leg, I have it on a table in front of the window. Hope the church ladies don't see it! It's just like the one in the Christmas movie!

Back in November, one of my band mates met 2 families who's daughters, 5 and 7 years old, were dying of cancer. The one child's mom had a severe stroke in Oct. and her husband was fired from his job for taking too much time off. The second girl's dad died of the same kind of brain tumor she is dying from in September, her mom is pregnant and due any time and they have no money.

We were able to raise $9000 for these families so the kids could have a good Christmas and so they could make it through the winter. I am still in awe that we experienced such heartfelt charity from all those who gave.

Then we culminated the drive by throwing a Christmas party at the Children's Hospital for all the kids who were able to come down from their rooms. They had never seen a steel guitar before and they thought it was the coolest thing they ever saw.

Finishing off with a Christmas Eve service in the hospital chapel, my wife and I came home and the presents under the tree suddenly seemed insignificant compared to the feeling of love and Christmas spirit that was happening inside of us.

I know that our Christmases will forever be changed and we will be doing something like this every Christmas as long as we are able. We are very grateful to have been lucky enough to be given such an opportunity to bring joy to these kids. I feel kinda like old Scrooge must have felt on Christmas morning after his nightmares.

The dog ate my wife's candy that I bought her and we just wished him a Merry Christmas. No Merry Winter Solstice Celebration salutations coming from this household this year.(:

Unknown to me, Karen had been going in for the last seven paydays and buying $20 gift certificates from Long & McQuades Music store,(My candy store). So with $140, i put a down payment on a Behringer Eurorack Ub1832FX-PRO, a sweet little board with 24 bit sampled effects. My steel sounds wonderful through the headphones. Karen is a gem.

Webb I think you got the greatest gift.

Joan and I took it easy on gifts this year. The gift I wanted was to spend Christmas with my son Josh and daughter Jennifer. I got to be with them and some dear freinds. We spent Christmas Eve with Justin and Sissy Trevinio in a motel in Haven Ar. and then on to Nashville Christmas day. It was truly a blessed Christmas.

I got a copy of the new "King Arthur" Movie on DVD,and the Transmission on my Olds Bravado FIXED!..Now I'm ready to hit the road to all of the jams..starting with the Super Jam in Nashburg next week Jan 4th.

I see where my friend in Nebraska, Bill Beall received his first pedal steel guitar. His wife won't get nothing out of him for a few days.

I must have been REALLY nice. I got a D10 BMI. This weekend, I'm going to give it a good clean and try to get it to fit my 6' 2" body. No question about the tone, though.

Every time I look at it, it says "Merry Christmas".

I got a hat.

A three-CD set of the "Possum", "Fifty Years of Hits", good & country and some pretty good back-up steel. Also a 1.5 million candlepower spotlight.....and fed.

My two front teeth, before anybody but the dentist knew they were missing, and love for and from my family.

Yet another overwhelming flood of emotions I thank God for being able to play my way through, and a good band that can't think fast enough to stop me from doing it..

Yet.
