This video makes me wonder how many good players of yesteryear we don't know about. I never head of Ray until now, but he was a heck of a player. He had quick hands and he wasn't afraid to use them! 8)

I owned Ray's Rickenbacker from that clip for a couple of years, and through random internet-poking just realized that it ended up with Walter Becker of Steely Dan.

It was then sold at Julien's last year:

Note the reference to Knee-lever modifications in the description, which can be seen in the video. I cross-referenced the dents & dings, and it's definitely the same guitar.

I imagine it's original history will now be lost.
