Jeff, THANKS for the music!
This is proof that the pedal steel should be used in ALL venues of music. Thanks, again. You do good work, sir.

Thanks for posting that awesome stuff, Jeff! I know I'm not alone in thinking we should probably start calling you the "man of a million chords"! Image

Where do you find all those chords? My steel doesn't seem to have that many on it...

Nice Job, Jeff, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thanks for the email Jeff. By the way your Medley of the Seasons leave me lacking: My hands, feet, fingers and whatever else it takes to do such a nice job as you do.

Someday when I grow up I'd like to play a quarter of those notes, and I'd be happy.

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Hey Jeff,
I finally got the file downloaded. It's a big one. I especially like the Summertime licks with the walking bass line.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

I'd like to offer you kind folks a very sincere THANK YOU for all these wonderful comments. I felt physically and mentally fatigued ay the undertaking of putting together this 5-song medley over this past weekend and one hour into the recording session I almost said forget about it, I'm just not up for it. Now, thanks to you folks, I'm very glad I did do it. You have managed to inspire me to try to do better each time. Again, I say thank you to all of you many times over, and have a wonderful holiday and new year. .. Jeff

I am not worthy! I am not worthy!

Now I wish Santa would bring me a CD burner for my antique computer so I could listen to you through my stereo speakers. Image

Thanks pal! Merry & Happy Holidays

Just Outstanding! I'm not sure, but I think I heard a note on the 23rd fret that you didn't get to... seriously , great playing. Thanks.

Jeff: After a few hours trying to get this dang computer and mp3 players to act properly, I got it downloaded. But first time I hit it, for some reason; it played Wolverton Mountain by Curly Chalker from another thread.

From there I went to your Christmas Medley and to be perfectly truthful with you, I thought it was still Curly playing and I had to jump start my thinking to realize it was you playing. I suppose from an old, long time Chalker fan, that says it all. Those are some big shoes you have chosen to wear but I like them !!

And they fit you so well !!

Regards, Paul

Jeff,

Thanks for the heads up!!

Great work... Harmonization and improv are great!!!

However, like DVA, there was a slight intonation issue around the 23rd fret on measure 257 towards the end....

One day..... One day..........

Especially when I get another D-10 steel.

Jeff. From the clip I downloaded you have a wonderful grasp of scales on the c6th that shows me I need to practice more and more. Great touch. I only wish I could play half of those. I'd feel good about myself that's for sure. I would like to hear something that you have done with more music to it. I love jazz and could listen to it all day long. My trouble is where I live there are no jazz radio stations that I could listen to. :-(
I look forward to hearing more from you. Keep it up. :-)

I will start with the disclaimer that I'm a 'friend of Jeff's'. This means I've had him sitting in my studio, fooling around on the steel. What we hear on this medley is truly representative of what he can do. He communicates endlessly interesting harmonic ideas.

Congratulations Jeff!
