It would make a big defference if all would learn the proper way to string up their axe.
It is unbelievable how some wind the strings on the guitar.My experience goes back to buying our strings at the drug store.You asked for a first or fourth or what ever.
Then some genious figured out that we needed the gauge number.It think I have used most of the current strings.I had good luck with SIT and GHS Boomers And the other top brands.I now use Cobras from Bobbie and will stay with them from now on.I have never broken a third cobra string.Of course I also change them frequently.

I put two sets of Cobra Coils on my D-12 Dekley after a complete disassemble and lube job. In fact I used the U-12 set on both necks, just had to add a .034 for the E9 neck which left me with an extra .068. Image

They do sound good and stay in tune well, however I broke the .012 3rd string half way through the second gig. Image I put on an old .011 from my seat and it's still going strong after five more gigs. Image
