Jimmy M. and Dave Van Allen, Thanks for admitting how old we are! Ha! Ha! That articial came out in '69? Yes I did say that Nashville needed more steel players. It still does! I get calls every day for steel players. I can't remember all I said in that artical, but it couldn't have been too earth shattering, since Rusty made the next cover and I went on to be hidden in the back of the big band of Ray Price's Cherokee Cowboys.(never to be heard from again). It was hard to turn down $45.00 a day! WOW! I even got to pay all my own expenses! You should have see 24 guys in one economy Holliday Inn room.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Dan Dugmore told me that Pete's widow gave him that Sho-Bud (Goldie). Its still around.
